	Policy Governance

	On June 2, 1996 our Church By-Laws were amended at our Parish Meeting to create a church governance structure based on the Carver Model of Policy Governance.

	Article V of the By-Laws ARTICLE V of the By-Laws sets out a governance model in which the Board of Trustees acts on behalf of the congregation, sets policies, and monitors chief executive performance. The Senior Minister acts as the chief executive officer of the Church, is responsible to the Board for implementing the policies determined by the Board, and operates under the general supervision of the Board.
