You can help First Church raise extra funds* with something you have to do anyway…buying groceries!
Three local grocers sponsor programs that give to the community by contributing a portion of their profits to certain organizations. First Church is a designated recipient of these programs. Currently, you can participate in generating additional funds – through the programs - in ways that require little effort and no extra cost to you!
The Grocery Coupon Program can help your grocery dollars go even further when shopping at the stores listed below.
Albertsons stores: (The church earns 2% of your grocery purchases.)
To get started, simply stop by the Grocery Coupon table in Channing to pick up our "Community Partner" number (4900016000), then present it with your "Preferred Savings Card" the next time you shop. That’s all you need to do! Now, each time you shop with your Preferred Card, the church will receive a 2% credit for your purchases. (You can also sign up online through the “Community Partners” section of the Albertsons Web site.)
Kroger stores: (The church buys certificates at a 3% discount off the face value.)
Kroger gift certificates may be purchased in several denominations from the Grocery Coupon table in Channing each Sunday. The certificates are presented like cash when making any purchase at your local Kroger store.
Tom Thumb: (The church buys cards at a 4% discount off the face value.)
Purchase $50 gift cards from the Grocery Coupon table in Channing each Sunday. Use these cards like a debit card each time you buy groceries or gas from Tom Thumb or other Safeway stores. The balance continues to reduce with each purchase.
