Cathy Mathia is an early childhood music specialist with a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Southern Methodist University. She has been a church musician since age 11 and has served as Minister of Music and Worship and also organist at a variety of churches over the years. Having completed extensive study in early childhood music and movement, Cathy has been involved in music education for over 25 years. She is an author of God’s Children Sing, published by Musikgarten. A former president of the international Early Childhood Music Association, she is Level 3 certified, the highest level currently bestowed. Cathy founded and directs East Dallas Children’s Music, a successful early childhood music studio. As a national teacher trainer for Musikgarten, she teaches at colleges, universities, conferences, and churches throughout North America and internationally.
