Native American Flute Circle
Come join us at the Flute House (a.k.a. the Parish House) from 5 to 9 p.m. You don't need a flute, we have some to share. We will help you with information on purchasing your own flute if you are interested. We have people at every level of playing, from beginner to accomplished. If we know you are new to the flute there is always someone who will give you a private lesson to help you get started. We have no formal agenda other than a drawing for door prizes contributed by the members. Each person is asked to bring snacks and/or drinks for a common table that is available all evening. Usually a number of people break off into smaller groups and share information and/or play flutes together. If you can join us please identify yourself to Bill Tucker or Suzy Hogue so we can introduce you to others and help you get started.
We'd love to share our passion with you. The Native American flute is a wonderful tool for meditation and relaxation. It's easy to learn and in no time you'll be playing your own songs...music from your heart.
There are no dues or fees, however participants are given the opportunity to make a contribution to cover the use of the church facility.
For more information, call Suzy Hogue at 972-238-6019 (daytime) or email shh8623@dcccd.edu
See the church calendar for details and dates.
Pianists are needed to play hymns and songs while our children sing. If you feel confident enough in your piano playing to accompany hymns, and would like to help our Religious Education Department, please contact Karen Lewis at klewis@dallasuu.org, (214.528.3990 x 103) |
