For The Love of The Lake
Time: 8:00am
Second Saturday Shoreline Cleanup - June 10, starting at 8:00 or 8:30 a.m.

You’re welcome to come and join us at White Rock Lake. The lake is a designated urban wildlife preserve known for it’s spectacular vistas, hundreds of bird species, and rich variety of plants and trees. You can help keep this special place clean and sparkling. You’ll get some beneficial exercise while enjoying fellowship with other First Church members and you’ll be making a difference in the lake’s (and our) environment.
Before you head to our designated shoreline you can go to the For the Love of the Lake Office in Casa Linda Plaza (across from Doctor’s Hospital) for complimentary Starbucks coffee, pastries, juice, and milk, available starting at 8:00 a.m. Or, if you prefer, you can skip the refreshments and go directly to our shoreline around 8:30, to meet with other First Church volunteers at West Lawther between Fisher Road and Branchfield Drive.

We extend thanks to our May volunteers - Mary Helen Hall, Eli Zablosky, Kathy Kranex, Frankie Branham, Joanne Parker, Judy McMillen, Mike & Chris Rambo,
Christiane Baud and Daleen Maxwell. For more information, come by the Community Service table in Channing Hall on Sundays or call Mike or Chris Rambo at 214-341-
2574.

Native-American-Flute Circle
Time: 5:00pm - 9:00pm
Location: Parish House
Saturdays, February 11, March 11, April 8, May 13, and June 10.
5:00 to 9:00 p.m., in the Parish House (Flute House)
No registration required. No charge.

The Native American flute is a wonderful tool for meditation and relaxation. We'd love to share our passion with you. The flute is easy to learn, and in no time you'll be playing
your own songs...music from your heart. You don't need your own flute, we have some to share. Each person is asked to bring snacks and/or drinks for a common table
which is open all evening.

For more information, call Suzy Hogue at 972-238-6019 (daytime) or email shh8623@dcccd.edu
