Capital Campaign: The $9-million capital campaign to finance the construction and programming envisioned by Chart and Compass was launched in grand fashion on January 20, thanks to the work of a host of volunteers. Many people lent their time, talent, and resources to make the occasion memorable. Special thanks go to Dawn Rizos and Stratos restaurant, for donating all the delicious food and drink and providing logistical support; to Bradley Ferst, for his imaginative centerpieces and Sanctuary installation; to Susan Snell and Brenda Johnson, for handling childcare; to our youth, for serving dinner; and to the many who provided willing hands to set up and clean up. David Norton spoke eloquently about his commitment to the Campaign and James Snell recognized the hundreds of volunteers whose dedication has brought us to this point in planning and implementation. Deserving the gratitude of all in our church community are Barbara and Bruce Mickey, for their unflagging leadership of the Capital Campaign and overall organization of the event; and Jenny Weil and Steve Crozier, co-chairs of the planning process which produced Chart and Compass.

What’s next? Over the next few months, campaign volunteers will call every member to ask for time to discuss our church, its aspirations, and our financial needs. Please welcome your caller. We’re already almost half way to our goal ($4.4 million has been pledged), and with generous gifts from each of us, we’ll reach it.
