April 15, 2007 Update

• Facilities: ArchiTexas has developed a new master plan for our campus expansion after meeting with Church staff to determine which of two initial plans best met our space needs for the next ten years. The new plan was reviewed with representatives from the Board and the Capital Campaign and Neighborhood-Relations Committees this week. The Facilities team will meet with the Board this month to establish funding limits and develop a timeline for presenting the master plan to the congregation, our neighbors, and, eventually, the City of University Park.

• Capital Campaign: As of April 1, the Capital Campaign has received $4,968,930 in pledges toward our $9 million goal, with a total of 143 pledges so far. The goal of the Capital Campaign volunteers is to contact every First Church member by June 1. Starting Sunday, April 15, volunteers will be in Channing Hall between services to answer questions and schedule pledge visits. If members wish, volunteers can meet with them at the church to help them complete their pledge forms.

• Project Updates: The Team meets monthly to receive updates on projects and provide tactical guidance. Church members are encouraged to attend to keep up with the latest events and provide input. Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month, in RE 204, at 7 p.m. The next meeting is Thursday, April 12. Chart and Compass information appears on the church website as well.
