Chart and Compass 2010 One-Year Update December 10, 2006 (pdf)
October 14, 2007 Update
- Facilities Master Plan Project Team: Steve Crozier, Team Lead, reports, “At the October 2 meeting of the University Park City Council, our rezoning request was considered in a public hearing. The Council heard from two neighbors who spoke with specific concerns. No one stood in opposition to the project itself. Several wording changes were proposed to our planned development ordinance and at least one change (a gate on the proposed new parking lot) was added to the master plan at the request of citizens or the Council.
“Because of the need to change some of the ordinance language, City staff recommended to the mayor chairing the meeting that Council action on the measure be delayed until the next Council meeting on October 23.
“We are optimistic that the Council's action will be positive, and will report back after that meeting.
“It should be noted that we had considerable cooperation and support from many of our neighbors. The Facilities Team, the Neighbor Relations Team, and our architects, ArchiTexas, all worked hard to be good neighbors and consider each request and concern. While the final results may not have been everyone's "dream" solution, as one of our neighbors put it at the meeting, we are happy to have had the chance to work together with them, get to know them better, and feel a part of the neighborhood.”
- Publicity and Branding: Beautiful color screensavers of the “reach deeper” campaign spots are now available to download from the church website. These speak to who we are as a community and are a great way to help spread our message. General communications and branding development is ongoing.
