Gifts I received growing up Unitarian Universalist:

• freedom to explore my deepest questions,
• a sense that I was trusted by a community which cared about me,
• an open understanding of God,
• the understanding that life has purpose and it is ours to live with intention and meaning.

These are some of the gifts — there are others.

A progressive children's religious education is indispensable these days. It is essential that our children receive the gift of meaning and perspective when it comes to religion and spirituality. It is important that they see the world and the mysteries it holds as part and parcel of who they are. It is crucial that they engage in a progressive community that gives them an identity that will sustain them through good times and bad.

When you have so many other options on Sunday morning consider that coming to this church at this time in your child’s life will foster an opening to freedom and tolerance, generosity and faith, that they will count on through their adult lives.
