We are having our 5th annual Senior Holiday Party on Sat. Dec 2nd. Last year’s party was attended by almost 100 of our fellow congregants who are 70 and over, including many of the people that helped create the church we enjoy today.
The morning will begin with baked goods, made or purchased and delivered by volunteers to the church with which we make 80 treat-filled tins. After the tins are made, we decorate Channing Hall and get set to welcome our guests. Then we host their party! Afterwards, we clean up and get ready to enjoy the church’s “Hanging of the Greens”!
Can you help? Here’s what we need:
If you can join in any or all of the day’s activities, we can use your help!
If you have kids who would like to participate, include them! It’s a GREAT opportunity for intergenerational caring. One of our steadfast cookie and tin makers, Addie, is 7, and the teens put up and decorate the tree!
Together, we make this a day to remember and a fitting way move into the holidays in a spirit of love, care and generosity.
